Delete Your Account & Data
This page explains how to permanently delete your Chatterbee account and associated personal data.
This action is permanent. Chatterbee doesn't store your conversations or media in the
cloud — deleting your account permanently removes your profile: your display name, phone number,
profile photo, and the push-notification/group-chat routing info tied to your account. Anyone you've
chatted with will no longer be able to reach you. This cannot be undone.
Fastest way to delete: open Chatterbee → Settings → Delete Account.
It's processed immediately and lets you choose whether to also erase your Google Drive backup. Use the
form below only if you no longer have access to the app.
What gets deleted
- Your profile: display name, phone number association, and profile photo
- Push-notification device tokens and group-chat routing info tied to your account
- In-app deletion only: your entire local on-device chat history, AI companion conversations, and app data (this lives only on your device, never in our cloud)
- Optional: your Google Drive backup, if you choose to include it
What may be retained
We may retain limited information for a short period after deletion where required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or security investigations (for example, records related to abuse reports). This information is retained only as long as necessary and is not used for any other purpose. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How to request deletion
- Submit a request below (or email us directly at privacy@chatterbee.net) using the phone number or account identifier registered with your Chatterbee account.
- We verify your request. To protect your account from unauthorized deletion, we may follow up by email or through the app to confirm it's really you.
- We process the deletion within 30 days and send you a confirmation once it's complete.
